Primary focus is the delivery of product to customers ensuring customer satisfaction through on-time delivery and professional interaction. The Delivery Driver (non-CDL) is responsible for providing timely transportation of products from origin to destination as assigned, along with unloading and staging products at customer’s place of business. Expected to maintain professional representation of the Company in all interactions with customers and through responsible driving, while providing excellent customer service and building strong customer relationships. Primary Responsibilities include timely transportation of product from origin to destination as assigned, assisting in verification of all outgoing and incoming product for accuracy in terms of size, amount and type, collecting payments from customers in monetary form acceptable to Company, ensuring all administrative paperwork concerning delivery orders required to move with shipments is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies delivery, maintaining professional representation of the Company in all interactions with customers and through responsible driving, maintaining records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver’s logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records and other records required by law and Company policy, abiding by all Company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations, and occasionally operating powered industrial vehicles (forklift pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.). Experience requirements include being at least 21 years of age, possessing a valid Class “C” driver’s license or other proper license classification as required by the Department of Transportation, and having a High School Diploma or GED. Prior work experience sufficient to work under general supervision is required. Key competencies include strategic and innovative thinking, problem solving, effective communication, ethical behavior, and accountability for results. Physical demands include occasional lifting of products up to approximately 50 pounds and handling tires greater than 50 pounds. Work environment includes exposure to weather conditions and moderate noise levels. Travel is required 75% of the time with no overnight stays.
